New York filmmakers Nicole Franklin and Jasmin Tiggett will be in Tampa Bay this month to shoot Chapter 3 of their documentary series called Little Brother.
The filmmakers are in need of two crew members: a soundperson and a PA/Grip who can drive and help set up basic lighting and a reflector/bounce board. Shooting is scheduled for Monday, July 23 throughout Wednesday, July 25th.
Jasmin will be directing this chapter while Nicole will be doing camera. This installment will be shot on the iPhone again like the second chapter (www.YouTube.com/NicoleFilms). The filmmakers are able to accomplish this by having a professional sound person with them. This is a low budget production. The filmmakers are offering $800 for the two days.
Little Brother is a 10-year/10-chapter series that visits young Black men from ages nine to thirteen in different areas of the U.S. each year to get their ideas on Love. It gives a completely different image of young Black men today. Each film is 15 minutes in length and the films are meant to prompt a different conversation concerning the state of Black boys today. The series is screened every two to three weeks for any and all audiences. Check out their website for more info about the project at www.LittleBrotherFilm.com.
