
In an ever-changing media business, journalists are charged with reaching their audiences on multiple media and social platforms. A host of tools and resources have become available that enhances the storytelling process, making it essential for journalists to maximize and fine-tune their skills.
On Saturday, March 23, beginning at 11 a.m., the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalists (TBABJ) will offer free multimedia journalism training.
Sessions will include insightful and interactive presentations by some of the area’s media professionals, including Demorris Lee with Pinellas County Schools’ Office of Strategic Communications; Octavio Jones, photojournalist at the Tampa Bay Times; and Micah Grimes, assignment editor at ABC Action News and social media consultant.
Learn how use the latest audio and visual software, brush up on your photography skills, and learn about the latest social media tools at this hands-on seminar.
The training is free and open to the public. Non-TBABJ members and non-journalists are all welcomed to attend.
