chptermtg912Are you planning to attend the 2013 NABJ National Convention in Orlando? Do you want to know how to successfully navigate the convention? If so, please join us to learn networking and interview tips at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Tampa Tribune, 202 S. Parker St.,Tampa.

TBABJ members will offer strategies that will show you how to have fun at the convention AND make important contacts and connections, whether you are a student, first-time attendee or veteran journalist.

Our regular business meeting will follow promptly at noon.

NABJ 2013 Convention: Register Early and Save

nabj_orlandoMark your calendars for the annual convention of the National Association of Black Journalists. This year’s convention and career fair will be July 31 to Aug. 4 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in nearby Kissimmee.

Registration prices are as follows:

  • NABJ members: $380 before June 15 / $650 after
  • Non-members: $550 before June 15 / $650 after
  • Associates: $395 before June 15 / $650 after
  • Students: $275 before June 15 / $300 after

Daily passes are also available — a good option for those who plan to commute from Tampa Bay.

Feb. 28 ONLY: Save Up To $30 On Region III Conference Registration

If you’re planning to attend the NABJ Region III conference next month in Charlotte, Thursday is a great day to register. That’s because it’s your chance to take advantage of the Black History Month preregistration specials:

  • Nonmember: $75 $35
  • Student: $25 $10
